Trips (Schedule Below) Glances at Nature Trips and Interpretation is a fantastic way of not only learning Photography Techniques, it's a great way of learning about our Natural World and
enjoying time outside in some amazing places. Basic trips include birding hikes and
other day trips. These hikes/trips are a great way of getting the feel for Josh's style of leading and interpretation. Trips of longer length are also offered and for a minimal investment, you can enjoy a trip where everything is taken care of so you can sit back,
relax and concentrate on time in the field with no worries. For instructions on how to register, click HERE.
Scheduled Trips
Hawkwatch Day Trip to Lake Erie Metropark (1 spot left) When: Saturday, October 16th from 7:30am-6:30pm
Where: Lake Erie Metropark (departs from Battle Creek area)
Audience: Ages 12 and up (limited to 6)
Fee: $50 per person
Sit back, relax and enjoy no stress as Josh takes care of everything and introduces you
to a wonderful Fall Hawk Spectacle. This exciting day trip to Lake Erie Metropark
(LEMP) is a way to experience Hawk Migration at its finest. Each Fall, thousands of
Raptors migrate through this area on their way South to their wintering grounds.
October is about diversity and may include views of Sharp-shinned Hawks, Coopers
Hawks, Northern Harriers, Red-tailed Hawks, Golden and Bald Eagles, Falcons and
more! The day will be filled with bird walks through LEMP in search of song birds,
time at the watch site enjoying and learning how to identify Raptors, and also includes
a stop at the Marshland Museum on site. All hikes are on easy terrain and will be at a
relaxed pace.
Trip includes transportation, morning and afternoon snacks with coffee, and expert Interpretation every step of the way. Josh has been counting with the Detroit River Hawkwatch for 4 years and loves introducing others to this great Fall wonder. Please

Cancellation Policy: If a registered participant cancels out of a trip at least 3 weeks prior to
the trip departure date, a full refund will be given minus a 10% registration fee. After the
3-week date, no refund will be given.
Michigan Fall Color and Waterfall Trip (2 spots left) When: Friday - Sunday, October 1st - 3rd
Where: Michigan's Central Upper Peninsula (departs from Battle Creek area)
Audience: Adults (limited to 6)
Fee: $300 per person (double occupancy)
$350 per person (single occupancy)
This is your chance to both enjoy what Michigan's Upper Peninsula has to offer and
take home great images from some amazing spots. Josh will take you to some of his
favorite locations with one goal in mind, taking away fantastic fall photographs. This
is a great opportunity to learn proper landscape exposure and one of the most asked
for techniques, waterfall pictures with that dreamy effect! The only thing not
included are your dinners. Everything else including lodging and transportation is
included. Take advantage of all the prep work and scouting Josh has already done
and sign up today. Space is very limited!
